  Introduction

In this day and age, citizens of the world undoubtedly live in a global village due to the advances in telecommunications, transportation and media technologies. This improved interaction between inhabitants of various nations has enhanced business and cultural bonds, proving to be a mainly positive development for the majority of stakeholders.

  Body

With increasingly robust cooperation between multinational companies and the growing phenomenon of these corporations establishing headquarters and manufacturing facilities in assorted countries, residents from all over the world have the opportunity to enjoy their products and services. With the advent of globalization, there are also a larger quantity of employment opportunities available, not to mention increased trade, allowing greater free flow of products with reduced tariffs, serving to increase the standard of living of citizens in all corners of the globe.

On the contrary, traditional cultures are being threatened due to the influx of international corporations and their ever-growing presence in our daily lives. Foreign media has infiltrated people’s lives, especially youngsters who are surrounded by Western TV shows and movies, influencing their behaviour and thinking. Nowadays, individuals eat the same foods, wear similar clothing and maintain comparable lifestyles, leading to monotony and tedium. In this way, globalization has led to a mix of cultures, leading to a loss of conventional ideas and individualism.

  Conclusion

In my view, by learning more about a vast range of cultures (i.e. foods, traditions, customs, entertainment, etc.), individuals have the potential to expand their worldviews and gain an appreciation of foreign lifestyles. Thus, the advantages handily outweigh the drawbacks and without corporate or cultural links between nations, we would have dismal and dull lifestyles.

  范文2、
The closer communication between different countries has been a conspicuous tendency in recent years, both in economic and cultural aspects. Some people doubt the continually connections will cause vanishing of a country's identities. In my view, the result of international interaction depends on the situation in different nations.

In fact, the international contact is a definitely mutual benefit for countries. Due to the economically motivated, both states and entrepreneurs are interested not only in the domestic market but also in the oversea market. The closer connection opens up huge potential opportunities for business corporation. Besides, the more cultural contacts, the better understanding of other peoples. Cultural communication can alter people's attitude towards another culture and embrace different values, which will promote multi-cultural understanding and even remove cultural barriers.

Admittedly, the cross-national interaction will also impose a negative influence on national identities, especially to those weak countries such as Pacific island countries and some mini countries in Europe and Africa. It seems that in these weak countries, the locals have become more familiar with exotic cultures, which reflects the foreign cultural invasion to some degree. For instance, the mainstream value of teenagers in these countries has been mainly shaped by Hollywood blockbusters instead of their traditional literature or other artistic works.

In my opinion, whether closer global communication will cause demise of national identities rely on different countries. American, as well as Canada and Australia, is marked by their high population mobility, or immigrants, to be more exactly. The culture in these nations is based on other cultures indeed. Therefore, they welcome different countries and it cannot be a problem to them. Also, some countries, like China, India and British, have their own unique ethnic identity and cultural confidence which come from their long history. Global contact will also be acceptable to them, too. Only to the weak countries, the local government should take steps to protect their vulnerable cultures.

In conclusion, the positive and negative influence of global communication really coexists. However, the outcome of closer contact is better or worse is determined by different countries.

  范文3、

In this day and age, the trend of global cultural and economic exchange is on the rise. Some say it poses a threat to the national identities while others hold an opposite view, claiming it can only bring a positive impact on both economy and cultural diversity.

On one hand, globalization has clearly shown that the interaction of money flows between the countries has contributed greatly to the economic growth in different nations. International trading, nowadays, has become an indispensable part of governmental agenda in most countries around the world. China, which has benefited tremendously in the hike of its Gross Domestic Product ever since the adoption of opening up policy, is a perfect example to support this point. In addition, it is also crucial for peoples to accept cultures from abroad to avoid ultra-nationalism which has been proved to be a plague in places such as the former Yugoslavian republics.

On the other hand, there could also be problems with the phenomenon of the global melting pot. The increasing business contact is likely to bring multinational corporations into small countries and sweep their local market with big brands. The relatively weaker industries are prone to become the defeated side and even to be totally wiped out. Besides, mainstream pop culture from major countries, such as Hollywood films and Japanese cartoons, can quickly occupy the hearts and minds of the people in small countries while traditional and local customs in those countries can face a huge challenge to continue to exist.

In my opinion, the increment of economic and cultural exchange among nations is inevitable. Any country which is against this tide, like North Korea, pays a huge price with a stagnant economy and an inferior quality of spiritual life. However, it is also true that there is a necessity for authorities in weaker nations to put up policies which can protect their domestic companies as well as local traditions to some extent.
