如:a dizzy height眼晕的高度(a height that causes people to feel dizzy)
a sleepless bed不安枕(a bed on which the sleeper has little sleep)
1.例:I saw that turbulent emotions possessed her, so I asked what I thought would be some sedative questions about her little girl.
2.例:After an unthinking moment, she put her pen into her mouth.
3.例:An awed hush fell upon the bystanders.
4.例:I had a glimpse of Mrs. Wilson straining at the garage pump with panting vitality as we went by.
Mrs Wilson
5.例:With an effort I managed to restrain my incredulous laughter.
6.例:The maid came back. Her manner suggested to my excited fancy a complete knowledge of the domestic calamity.
7.例:There was about all of them an air of well-satisfied prosperity.
解析:well-satisfied指them
